Had some good curry at Sukiya today. We went mid morning and had a curry to set us up for the day.  Because, who doesn't love a morning curry?

24 Hrs!!!

This is the branch right near XinYi AnHe MRT Station, perfectly located less than 5 min walk from the station exit.

There's not a lot going on inside, but it's fine, I think.

Plenty of pickled ginger, special sauce for your fried potato cake, hot pepper powder etc.

We sat at the bar, so didn't need to use this. But, on each table, there is a personal table bell. So, when you are ready to order, just press it, and the staff will come and take your order.

This is their breakfast menu. You're going to find it hard to beat a fillet of salmon, bowl of rice, bowl of miso, seaweed and a side dish for $99 anywhere! Unfortunately, we arrived at 10:15 and they had already sold out of the salmon, shame.

Plenty of food here for the medium bowl! I was stuffed afterwards (and let me tell you, I can eat!).

The curry had a nice flavour and there was certainly enough beef. I'm happy all round with this.

Who doesn't love a good poached egg breaking?

Huge bowl of onions anyone?

For breakfast, I don't really like onions or garlic as I tend to taste them in my mouth for the rest of the day. But, this was still ok. Again, plenty of beef inside, plenty of rice in the medium bowl and a nice egg to top it off.

I don't think you're going far wrong with $248 for 2 people. Also, with the time that we ate this, we didn't eat lunch and just skipped straight to our evening meal around 17:00, perfect!

The sukiya chain of restaurants may not be wowing diners with extravagently amazing food, but they serve some good dishes, at affordable prices, 24/7 - not much you can argue about, there.
